The Kissing Project began in Paris after the attacks of 2015. Its founders Abigail Boucher and Carolyn Defrin started recording stories of significant kisses, collected around the tables of friends and families in Paris, London and Chicago. Out of those voices took shape an art project celebrating a shared humanity and the differences between people. Over time it also became a theatre piece and an installation. Mimmo Manes (aka canefantasma) created its visual identity.

The identity turns on a payoff, more love less hate, which condenses the message of the project. The logotype writes kissing_project in a condensed typeface, with an underscore that echoes digital language and social media usernames. The palette starts from a warm red, joined by yellow and light blue. The typography combines Helvetica LT Std Ultra Compressed and Neue Montreal. The system is applied to posters, T-shirts and communication materials, where portraits and words build a direct, recognisable tone.
