Visionaria. International short film festival of Siena

Visionaria was one of the longest-running international short film festivals in Italy. Founded in Siena in 1991, at the dawn of digital video, for almost thirty years it gathered and showed the work of independent and professional video makers, across fiction, animation, documentary and video art, with an international competition and a dense programme of exhibitions, screenings, talks and workshops.

Mimmo Manes, now the founder of Dinamo, was its creative director for the graphic work throughout its history. He gave the festival a visual identity able to represent the imagery of video and to renew itself edition after edition while staying recognisable. Posters, catalogues, coordinated image and communication materials accompanied Visionaria's growth into a cultural point of reference for the city and for the sector.
