A research foundation born out of one of the fourteen extended partnerships of the Italian national recovery plan, on the economic and financial sustainability of systems and territories. Based in Bologna.
GRINS Foundation
GRINS, Growing Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable, is one of the fourteen extended partnerships funded by the national recovery plan under Mission 4, devoted to education and research. It addresses the economic and financial sustainability of systems and territories and has brought together a wide network of universities and research centres, with the University of Bologna as lead partner. It produces frontier research between the economic and social sciences and data science, to provide evidence that can guide public policy and the choices of citizens and businesses. The central axis of the project is AMELIA, the open data platform for analysing the country's socio-economic, environmental, health and financial dynamics.
The GRINS Foundation is the hub of the partnership, set up as a foundation with public and private participation and chaired by the economist Matteo Cervellati. It exists to give the network institutional continuity beyond the duration of the funding, as a research foundation and data provider, and holds two horizons together: the mission of the recovery plan and a medium to long-term vision.
We have worked with the GRINS Foundation since 2023 and look after its whole communication and dissemination chain: branding, content, website, social media management, media relations, long-term content strategy. The site grins.it directs all the project's communication. Alongside it sits research.grins.it, the platform that gives the scientific community operational continuity after the recovery plan, with profiles, research outputs, events and collaborations in a single working space.
